OmniDisplay
OmniDisplay was the name given to a fledging software application in 2010. The software was conceptuality developed from the success of OmniTicker, which itself was developed specifically for the Banking industry to display a scrolling stream of ticker symbols and prices. Funding for the development of OmniDisplay was provided by Initiostar and the business transitioned into a pure-play software company focused on real-time digital displays. In 2016, initiostar formed a partnership with GDK Software to manage software development and in August 2022, initiostar transitioned into retirement with day-to-day operations transferring to GDK Software. Gary Lowrey remains the Product Director for OmniDisplay, assisting clients and AV Partners.Heading into the Future……...
OmniDisplay is today a state-of-art digital signage solution, easy to install with a capability to stream data and information to an 8K resolution; using single stream and without the need to scale content. Probably unique in its field, it is recognised for its quality, vision and easy-of-use as a digital signage solution.Multiple Awards
Awards and Achievements have been many over 21 years, but one stands out as being unique in its time - initiostar created the Cyber3D start-up partnership with Adobe for its digital 3D technology platform, Adobe Atmosphere. A small team from around the world came together virtually, to delivery some of the first interactive 3D digital environments and games. Cyber3D won London’s 2003 Business Startup of the Year; two years later it achieved a profitable exit. In 2025 OmniDisplay was recognised by SME News in the IT Awards 2025 for its Client Service Excellence with OmniDisplay, its Digital Signage product.
Initiostar
Gary Lowrey founded initiostar as a sales and marketing advisory service to software and technology companies in 2002. Focused on software in the Banking, Leasing, Insurance and Media sectors, the company provided leadership, interim management, acquisition and post-acquisition integration services to SME technology companies. These services were built upon over 25 years experience in sales and marketing including board level appointments with leading software and technology companies. In 2010, initiostar acquired Telefax Data Systems, a company specialising in LED digital signage. initiostar continued to provide engineering support for the Trans-Lux alphanumeric LED displays until that support was no longer needed.
